Pakistan win the Trination series cup!

Pakistan beat India by 25 runs to win the Bangladesh Tri Series. Though Dhoni and Yuvi tried valiantly, Malik’s boys were better.
The Pakistanis had a brilliant batting side with Younis Khan (108) and Salman Butt (129*) together making possible the high score of 315. With Akmal (15) and Butt opening for the Pakistani side, the Paks got off on a slow start. However, when Pathan got Akmal’s wicket, it brought out the formidable Younis Khan, who together with Butt, made for a seamless partnership of 200 runs in 191 balls.
Salman Butt suddenly collapsed due to dehyderation and had to be taken out of the game with a high score of 129.
So with lots of wickets in hand and a few balls remaining, Misbah (33), Afridi (10) and Malik (11) pushed forward with run rates that just got the score higher, right up to 315 in the 50th over.
On the other hand, India’s batting performance was average. Sehwag (2) went out in the second over with a catch by Malik. Then came Sharma followed by Pathan to partner with Gambhir, the only promising player. But none could hold on to the bat for long. Finally Yuvraj seemed to have got his josh back as he somehow made 56 runs. The run rate so far was kept within reach, but the wickets were slipping by.
Ultimately it was left to Dhoni to make up the score, which he would have if it were not for the catch by Nasir Jamshed, leaving India with a total of 290 in 48.5 overs.

it was sad how India playe d so well during the first matches and then gave it all up to pak. Well at least they didn’t put up a disgraceful score, losing by 25 runs is not that big a gap.
