One Night Stand (2008) was the fourth annual One Night Stand professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It took place on June 1, 2008 at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California and featured talent from the Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brands. The show will be telecast in India on Sunday on Ten Sports. The official theme song was “Hell Yeah” by Rev Theory. The event featured two taglines: “Extreme Rules” and “The One Night a Year When the WWE Goes Extreme.”
The main match on the SmackDown brand was a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the World Heavyweight Championship between Edge and The Undertaker, per the pre-match stipulation, Undertaker would be forced to leave the WWE if he lost the match. The predominant match on the Raw brand was a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship between Triple H and Randy Orton. The primary match on the ECW brand was a Singapore Cane match involving The Big Show, CM Punk, John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, and Tommy Dreamer. Featured matches on the undercard included Shawn Michaels versus Batista in a Stretcher match, John Cena versus John “Bradshaw” Layfield in a First Blood match. Jeff hardy Vs Umaga in a falls count anywhere match and Beth Phoenix Vs Melina in an I quit match.
“WWE: One Night Stand” will be telecasted on the 15th of June at 11.00 a.m on Ten Sports and is of 3 hours duration.
